The ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 is proving to be highly entertaining for viewers. India, having sent a strong contingent to the event, has not performed as they had hoped for but still many athletes were able to bring medals to India’s bag.
Day nine of the Commonwealth Games could prove highly fruitful for India as many Indian athletes would be taking part in the final of their respective events.
Priyanka Goswami and Bhawna Jat would be challenging for Gold in the Women’s 10km Race Walk. Sharmila, Santosh and Poonam Sharma will be heading into the final of Women’s Shot Put as well. Additionally Avinash Sable will put forth his challenge in the Men’s 300m Steeplechase final.
Wrestlers Pooja Sihag and Ravi Kumar Dahiya are also looking to bring medals in freestyle 76kg and 57kg respectively.
Nitu Ganghas and Nikhat Zareen have reached the semi-final in Boxing and would be eyeing a better medal that Bronze which has already been confirmed with their entry into the semi-final.
Wrestling will also see six Indian athletes partake in the search for Gold in their respective events.
