According to the question, students need to match cricketers with their respective nicknames. The nickname of Babar Azam, ‘Bobby’ was also there among the available options. Speaking about Babar Azam, he is currently one of the top batters in the world in all three formats. In the ODI format, he is the number one-ranked batter. However, he recently was looking to play in the Hundred tournament. Hence, he entered the draft with a reserve price of £100,000. But, no franchises showed any interest in him. It was quite surprising to see him not get a team for another year in that tournament.

Meanwhile, such a decision from franchises left the veteran England bowler, James Anderson baffled. While speaking on the BBC’s Tailenders podcast, Anderson said: “I’d pay double for him. I’d spend the whole budget on Babar Azam. The only thing I can guess is that there might have been an availability issue. He might not be available for the whole Hundred.” In 2022, Babar Azam won the Men’s ODI player of the year for the second time in a row. However, he recently took a rest from the T20I series against Afghanistan and Shadab Khan lead the team.
