Yuzvendra Chahal, an Indian cricketer, appears to have taken another shot at his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma over their alimony arrangement. There was a lot written and spoken about what happened behind the scenes when Chahal and Dhanashree Verma announced they were getting divorced.

Prior to their most recent court appearance, Chahal was spotted wearing a black t-shirt with the slogan "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy" emblazoned in white. Many others interpreted the text to be a message to Dhanashree. Now, the cricketer has admitted that it was. 

Although her family later denied the claim, rumors circulated that Dhanashree was asking Rs 60 crore in alimony. Chahal recognized that the bargaining process was difficult, but he was eventually able to "sign a good deal."

The leg-spinner's now-deleted Instagram story has sparked conjecture that he was making a veiled dig at his ex-wife while quoting a recent Delhi High Court decision that declared that "financially independent wives cannot demand alimony from their husbands."

Chahal wrote: "Maa kasam khao nahi paltoge iss decision seh," roughly translating to, "Swear on your mother you won't go back on this decision."

Though the post has now vanished, Chahal gave admirers ample time to capture screenshots of the Instagram story. The post was then shared by admirers across other social media sites, going popular in minutes.

Fans quickly linked Chahal's post to Dhanashree, with some speculating that it was a personal swipe at her. Others contended that the message was just an affirmation of the verdict.
