Ace India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will be one of the hottest bids in the Indian T20 League mega auction. Chahal's form has not been that great in recent times but still, franchises would want a class bowler like him in the team. The new retention policy meant that Bangalore was unable to retain him ahead of the auction. However, they might go after him when he goes under the hammer. Few other franchises will be interested in him thus it could trigger a bidding war. Chahal has kept his base price at INR 2 crore but he is likely to fetch a lot more.

Recently, Chahal revealed how much money he wants the franchise to pay him. In a chat show 'DRS with Ash', Chahal said he is not expecting a 17-18 crore deal and will be happy if he gets a sum of 8-9 crore. “I don’t want to say that I want 15 cr or 17 cr, you know, 8 cr is enough for me! (smiles)” said Chahal.

Chahal also spoke about the team he wants to play in the upcoming season. The leg spinner added that he is ready to don the jersey of any franchise but it would be great if Bangalore go for him. However, he is aware that it might not be possible in the upcoming season.

“It’s the first time where I feel I can go anywhere because there’s no Right to Match (RTM) card. The last time (2018), RTM was available, and they (RCB) had told me clearly that they’ll buy me using RTM in the auction no matter what… But this time, seriously, as a professional player, I am ready to go to any team,” Chahal “Obviously, I want to go to RCB because I’ve been there for 8 years but it’s not like if I go somewhere else I’ll feel bad,” he added.

Chahal further said he will give his 100 per cent for whichever team he plays for. “Whichever team takes me, I’ll keep giving my 100%. It will take some time to adjust to a new franchise but that’s why we call ourselves professional players,” he added.
