Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan is gearing up to play in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, set to begin on Friday (November 19). Pathan will make his debut in the tournament, representing Chennai Braves. The 10 overs format is all about big hits and strike rates and Pathan is one of the best when it comes to giving a ball a real tonk.

In his 22 T20I matches for India, the 39-year-old has scored at a strike rate of 146.58 and that is what makes him a dangerous customer. Pathan said he is looking forward to entertaining the fans with his powerful strokeplay. “I am working hard to give some joy to my fans during the Abu Dhabi T10. The tournament is a good opportunity for me to play for my fans.”

Yusuf grabbed the limelight after impressive stints with Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL. The powerful hitter said he is open to bat at any position, as per the requirement of team strategies and plans.

“I have played at a number of batting positions during my career and I have always adapted to the team’s needs. The T10 format suits my game. However, my batting position will depend on the team’s strategies. I have always been open to batting at any position for the team.”

Chennai Braves are making their debut this season in the T10 league. They will begin their campaign on Saturday (November 20) against Deccan Gladiators.
