‘Young players ko bully karta hai’ - Fans slam MS Dhoni for making fun of Rajvardhan Hangargekar over his ‘No Balls’

MS Dhoni has managed a great start to the IPL 2023 campaign for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the team have won two out of three games so far. Dhoni has led the team and many players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, and Ajinkya Rahane have come up with some match-winning efforts in those three matches.

CSK lost the season opener against Gujarat Giants (GT). But, they won the next two games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) respectively. But, the extras have been an issue for CSK this season so far, and that has annoyed badly MS Dhoni. After the second match against Lucknow, he even warned his bowlers from bowling no-balls on a regular basis.

Now, a video has gone viral where MS Dhoni was seen attending an event along with the CSK bowling coach DJ Bravo and youngster Rajvardhan Hangargekar. In that event, Dhoni was fun making fun of the young player over his ‘No Balls’. In the first against GT, Hangargekar bowled one no-ball and three wides. But, he picked up three wickets for 36 runs in four overs. Then, in the second game against LSG, he bowled three wides in a single over and bowled two overs for 24 runs without any wickets. However, he did not bowl in the third game against Mumbai. 

So, seeing the video, it seemed that Dhoni just made fun of it in a lighter mood. But, some fans did not like it and slammed MS Dhoni for bullying young players like him. After the LSG game, Dhoni said: "Fast bowling we need to slightly improve. Need to bowl according to the conditions. What is important is to keep an eye as to what the opposition bowlers are doing. One more thing is they'll have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides, or they'll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning and then I'll be off"
