Sunrisers Hyderabad's horrible run in the Indian Premier League continued as they lost their second consecutive game of the sixteenth edition against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Sports City Stadium on Friday. The Lucknow side comprehensively outplayed SRH in a slow-paced, low-scoring game and ultimately won by five wickets.

Sunrisers' owner, businesswoman Kavya Maran was present in the stands for the game. She has always been among the most animated franchise owners in the league who doesn't let herself away from expressing her emotions. In the match against LSG, two of her photos went viral. First, her reaction to the wicket of Kyle Mayers, who was the first Lucknow batter to be dismissed. Second, her response later in the game, looking dejected after another loss.

Krunal Pandya won the POTM for his four wickets and 34 runs

The Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision they soon came to regret. The visitors could only manage 121 runs for the loss of eight wickets within their 20 overs. Opener Anmolpreet Singh scored 31 off 26, while Rahul Tripathi scored 34 off 41. A final flourish by Abdul Samad 21 off 10 took SRH to 121 at the end of 20 overs.

For the Lucknow Super Giants, allrounder Krunal Pandya remained the pick of the bowlers returning with three wickets in his four overs whilst conceding just 18 runs. Amit Mishra had two scalps in the game from his four overs whilst remaining economical, conceding only 23 runs. Yash Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi returned with one wicket each.

In reply, LSG made a meal out of the chase but lost five wickets. Skipper KL Rahul scored 35 off 31, while star Krunal Pandya scored 34 off 23 to round off a brilliant allrounder's performance. For SRH, Adil Rashid remained the pick of the bowlers returning with two wickets for 23 runs in three overs. Umran Malik, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with one wicket each, losing the game by five wickets.
