He said that when these teams clash in a major tournament like World Cup then the official generates a huge revenue. He also said that the players from India and Pakistan should demand more money for playing in the league.

“It is going to be the most exciting game of the World Cup. In any World Cup, it is like the final game. We know how that rivalry is. It is just a crazy sold-out game. Pakistan and Indian players should demand a lot of money for those games because those games are high-paid games TV-wise. I don’t control the board or the apex cricket body. If I was in their position I would want a lot more” Gayle was quoted as saying by Cricket Addictor.

India and Pakistan are set to clash against each other in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue have never lost a match in the ODI World Cup against Pakistan and they would like to continue their winning streak against the Pakistani side. Gayle further added and talked about India and West Indies for the upcoming World Cup.

"I know India have not won a major world trophy in a long time and the same is the case with us (West Indies). We last won in 2016. Pressure will be on India as they play at home as favourites.” Gayle added.
