Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli won many hearts as he gifted a signed bat to England’s allrounder and his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate David Willey’s son ahead of his first cricketing session. This gesture of Kohli is being appreciated a lot on the internet and fans are showering love for him.

For the remaining games of the season, David Willey has been replaced by Kedhar Jadhav in the RCB. Willey, however, didn't have enough of a chance from the Faf du Plessis-led team because he only played in 4 matches this season, recording just 35 runs and 3 wickets.

Jadhav was purchased by RCB for Rs 1 crore. He made his IPL debut in 2010 with the Delhi Daredevils. Since then, he has made 93 IPL appearances and scored 1196 runs. Before being purchased by Chennai Super Kings in the 2016–17 season, Jadhav played in 17 games for RCB. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jadhav participated in the 2021 competition.

He failed to fetch any purchaser at the auction for the next two seasons. It would be interesting to see if RCB chooses to play Jadhav or if they decide to bench him for a few games as other players are already sitting on the bench.

Brilliant bowling performance from RCB

Meanwhile, RCB clashed against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 43rd match of IPL and they convincingly defeated them by 18 runs and also avenged their precious loss at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RCB gave a short target of 126 runs to LSG and considering the batting lineup of the KL Rahul-led team, it seem that they would easily chase the target but that didn't happen as they were losing wickets at regular interval of time. RCB bowlers kept the line and length tight and didn't give many opportunities to the batters to open their hands.

Many supporters are anticipating that both teams will face off once more, and that too in the playoffs, as this is a brand-new rivalry in the lucrative league. It's interesting that it might be conceivable because both teams are in the top five of the points standings. If they manage to make it to the playoffs, it will be exciting to watch them square off once more.
