Rohit Sharma is currently getting ready to face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing IPL on 30 April 2023. However, MI lost their last game against Gujarat Titans (GT) and, hence, they are now in the seventh position with six points from seven games. But, as a batter, Rohit has struggled so far this season.

In seven matches, Rohit has scored 181 runs, at an average of 25.86, including one fifty. So, MI fans are not so happy with his performance. He has been criticised heavily for his fitness for such a poor run of form with the bat. Now, ahead of the RR clash, an image has gone viral where Rohit Sharma was seen hitting the gym.

Seeing that image, fans went crazy and shared funny tweets on social media. However, it was a heavy defeat that MI suffered against GT. In that match, GT batted first and set a target of 208 runs. But, MI lost the match by 55 runs and Rohit scored only two runs off eight balls. After the loss, during the post-match presentation, the MI skipper shared his disappointment with the batting unit. Rohit said: "It's a little disappointing. We pretty much had control of the game till the last few overs when we went for too many runs.” 

“It's just about execution. We need to execute what's right, who are the batsmen, those kind of things. But in the end we didn't do that and gave too many runs. You've got to look at every team has very different strengths. We have a strong batting lineup to achieve the target. Today our batting couldn't get going. There's a lot of dew as well so if we had batted well then maybe we would have chased it. But we didn't start well and you don't do that when you are chasing 200-plus," Rohit concluded.
