The 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to be played from February 14. According to the format of the tournament, each team will face the other twice. Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz will be facing each other at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 26 (Wednesday). The return clash between the two is scheduled on March 6 (Thursday) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

As far as the head-to-head record between the two teams is concerned, it has been a close battle with the inaugural champions winning three matches. The Warriorz have ended up emerging victorious twice. MI’s one of the wins came in the Eliminator clash when they won by a huge margin of 72 runs.

UP Warriorz have registered the highest chase in four matches gunning down the target of 162 runs in just 16.3 overs with Kiran Navgire smashing 57 runs off 31 deliveries. Interestingly, five different players from both teams combined have scored at least half-century in the matches between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has registered the highest individual score having scored an unbeaten 72 in the Eliminator of WPL 2023 that helped MI post 182 runs on the board. With the ball, Saika Ishaque of Mumbai Indians is the leading wicket-taker in the MI vs UP matches with eight scalps in four matches. Interestingly, the spinner went wicketless in two out of five matches but multiple three-wicket hauls helped her jump ahead.

For UP Warriorz, Sophie Ecclestone of England, the left-arm spinner, is the leading wicket-taker against MI accounting for seven scalps so far. With two more matches set to be played in the upcoming edition of WPL, both teams will be looking to take a lead in the head-to-head record. UP Warriorz will miss their skipper Alyssa Healy who has pulled out of the entire season and has been replaced by Chinelle Henry of the West Indies.
