WPL 2025: Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Gujarat Giants (GG) head-to-head record

Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) and Gujarat Giants Women (GG-W), both these teams have been the most consistent teams in the tournaments so far but in quite opposite directions. While Delhi topped the charts in both seasons, Gujarat was at the bottom of the table on both occasions.

Delhi had a great run in the 2023 season where they won six of their eight games in the league stages and qualified directly for the finals, becoming the first team in the history of the Women’s Premier League to do so. Their dominating run in the tournament came to a screeching halt in the finals as they were outsmarted by the Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W).

Gujarat Giants Women had a pretty disastrous first season. Things did not go well for them as they kept trying to find their balance which cost them games. Ultimately, they were able to win just two of their eight matches and finished the season at the bottom of the table.

Both the team faced each other twice in the 2023 season wherein Delhi thrashed Gujarat in the first game winning the game by 10 wickets while in the second match, Gujarat was able to defeat Delhi by 11 runs.

In 2024, Delhi went on their usual ways and kept winning matches for fun. Similar to the previous edition, they went on to win matches for fun and had qualified for the finals again winning six of their eight league games. Again, they could not convert their hard work into a match-winning performance in the finals as they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCB-W).

Gujarat Giants too went on their usual ways where they were again struggling to win matches. They were eventually in the same place at the bottom of the table with just two wins in the league stages.

The teams clashed twice in the tournament that year and Delhi Capitals emerged victorious on both these occasions.
