On 26 May 2023, Mumbai Indians (MI) locked horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the qualifier two of the ongoing IPL. The match took place at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and GT did not disappoint the home crowd as they registered a 62-run victory over Rohit Sharma and his men.

Shubman Gill won the Player of the Match award for scoring 129 runs off 60 balls. It was his third IPL ton and it helped his team to get qualified for this season’s final against CSK. But, now an image has gone viral from the match where Gill was seen having a chat with the former Team India legend, Sachin Tendulkar.

Seeing that image, fans went crazy as Gill has always been linked to relationship rumours with Sachin’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar. So, fans came up with some funny replies. Speaking of the match, GT batted first and posted 233 runs for three wickets in 20 overs on the board. In reply to that, MI got bundled out for 171 runs and GT won the match by 62 runs.

After winning the Player of the Match award during the post-match presentation ceremony, Gill said: “Playing ball-to-ball, assessing the situation is important. The over I hit three sixes is where I felt it was my day. It was a good wicket to bat on and I wanted to maximise scoring. (On six hitting) Not a conscious decision, you want to keep evolving. Belief is more important, helps when you're coming off a good international season. Success has been a combination of a lot of things. WI tour last year began change. I was injured in 2021 which is when I worked on my batting I made technical changes as well. (Handling expectations) It doesn't matter when you make your way into the playing field. This is my best innings so far in the IPL.”
