The much-awaited high-octane clash

India will face Pakistan on October 23 at Melbourne and it will be their campaign opener. The assignment would be to win for the nation and also give it back to Pakistan for the defeat in the previous edition of the 20-20 World Cup

Rohit, the Indian skipper, earlier opined to the press that the team would approach the tournament with aggressive intent and also added that they would treat the clash against arch-rivals as any other game.

“Teams have become fearless and we’re looking to adopt the same approach. 140 used to be a winning total back then but now teams aim to reach there in 14-15 overs,” Rohit said to the press on October 15. The Indian team is in blistering form after defeating Australia and South Africa in the T20I series.

In addition to it, the team under the guidance of Rahul Dravid beat the Kangaroos in the warm-up face-off on Monday. It remains to see if the Pakistan clash could get washed out as forecasters predict. Fans, on the other hand, would hope to see the high-voltage clash and witness the spectacle unfold at the majestic venue.
