The momentum was with Zimbabwe right from the start as they lost Aaron Finch, Steve Smith and Alex Carey with just 31 runs on the board. Brad Evans and Victor Nyauchi troubled the batters initially. However, the worst came when Ryal Burl came into the bowling attack and started spinning the match in Zimbabwe's favor.

David Warner, the sole fighter, looked steady at the other end and looked like playing in another world. He perished for a well-made 94 off 96 deliveries and single-handedly powered Australia past the 100-run mark as they succumbed for just 141 runs. A win here might be the first for Zimbabwe against Australia in their backyard.

Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Tadiwanashe Marumani looked on course to clinch the win for the red team as they put on a 38-run partnership for the opening wicket. But then, the Baggy Green bowlers bounced back and bagged wickets at frequent intervals as Zimbabwe collapsed to 77 for 5 within twenty overs.

With almost 70 more runs to chase, things started to get tough for Zimbabwe until Regis Chakabva's grit started paving the way. The skipper steadied the foundation and looked rock solid in the ground defending the good balls. In addition to it, he started putting away the bad balls to boundaries and took his team closer to victory.

Despite pressure from the Australian bowlers, Zimbabwe won the third ODI by three wickets on the back of a gritty inning from their skipper.

It turned out to be a beautiful day for Zimbabwe as they registered their first win against Australia in Australia. Let's take a look at the tweets that users came up with to cherish the beautiful win:
