The 30-year-old is the daughter of media giant Kalanithi Maran. She hails from a high-profile family that consists of several politicians and businessmen. Moreover, Kalanithi happens to be the grand-nephew of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and politician M Karunanidhi.
