The fourth edition of the T10 League got underway on Thursday as three matches were played on the opening day. The tournament commenced with the game between Maratha Arabians and Northern Warriors and it went down to the last ball. The Arabians, led by Mosaddek Hossain, triumphed in a thrilling game.

However, one man who was trending even after the match was Abdul Shakoor (AS Bangash). He opened the innings for the Arabians while chasing down a mammoth total of 128 runs and slammed 73 runs off just 28 deliveries to leave the opposition stunned. It was some clean hitting which included seven fours and five sixes scoring runs at a strike-rate of 260.71.

Abdul Shakoor was born on March 21, 1988, in Sharjah and is an Emirati cricketer.

He forayed in international cricket for the first time in the T20I format on July 9, 2015, against Scotland in the 2015 ICC World T20 Qualifier tournament.

In the same year on November 16, Shakoor made his One-Day International debut against Hong Kong in the 2015-17 ICC World Cricket League Championship.

Shakoor was also named in the UAE squad for the Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in 2018.

Overall, he has played 3 ODIs and 6 T20Is, mustering 54 and 35 runs respectively in the two formats.

In 2020, Abdul Shakoor featured for Ajman side in the Emirates D20 tournament which took place amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the T10 League 2021, he was picked in the Maratha Arabians side and Abdul Shakoor slammed a 28-ball 73 against the Northern Warriors to come into the limelight.
