When will India play the next Test series? Know dates and opponent

India won their tenth successive Test series against the West Indies with a victory in the second and final Test today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. They chased down 121 runs with seven wickets in hand, with Kuldeep Yadav winning player of the match and Ravindra Jadeja taking player of the series.

India's home season began with a convincing victory over the Caribbean. Still, the team will get a one-month break from Test cricket as it prepares to trip Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is beginning on October 19.

India to next play Tests against South Africa at home 

Following the West Indies series, India will face South Africa in two Tests next month. The first match will be held in Kolkata's Eden Gardens from November 14-18, with the second taking place at Guwahati's Barsapara Stadium from November 22-26.

Following the South Africa series, India will focus on white-ball cricket before returning to Test cricket with a one-off match against Afghanistan in June 2026.

India will also play three ODIs and five T20Is against South Africa as well. The three ODIs will be played on November 30 in Ranchi, December 3 in Raipur and December 6 in Vizag. 

The five T20Is between India and South Africa will be played from December 9-19 at Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
