What is India's next series after Australia T20Is series?

After concluding the Australia T20I series in 2025, India will host South Africa for a multi-format series, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, starting in November across various Indian venues.

India and Australia clashed in the fifth and final T20I of the series at Gabba in Brisbane on November 8, 2025. After the white-ball tour, India will have a lengthy stay at home, as they will face South Africa at home in all three formats.

Australia had defeated India 2-1 in the three-match ODI series that saw Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma return to Indian colors for the first time after seven months. Rohit Sharma scored 8, 73, and 121* in the series, while Virat Kohli scored two ducks and then made 74* as India won the third and final ODI. Rohit Sharma was named the Player of the Series.

The T20I series saw the first match being washed out and Australia winning the second game. But India gained a 2-1 series lead after winning the third and the fourth T20I games convincingly.

India to face South Africa in two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is at home

The Indian team led by Shubman Gill will clash with World Test Champions South Africa in two tests to begin the series. The first test of the series will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, from November 14. The second test will be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati from November 22 onwards.

The action will then move to one-day international cricket as India and South Africa will clash in three ODIs. The first ODI will be played AT JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on November 30. The second ODI will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur on December 3. The third and final ODI will be played at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, on December 6.

The two sides will then move onto playing a five-T20I series, with focus on the T20 World Cup 2026 to be played next year. The first T20I will be played in Cuttack on December 9; the second T20I will be played in Mullanpur on December 11. The third T20I will be played in Dharamshala on December 14, while the fourth T20I will be played in Lucknow on December 17.

The fifth and final T20I will be played in Ahmedabad on December 19.
