West Indies and Australia are set to lock horns in a five-match T20I series starting from July 21. With the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka scheduled to take place next year, both teams will be keen on fine tuning their combinations.

Australia whitewashed the West Indies in the preceding three-match Test series and the hosts will be hoping to put up a better show in the shortest format. Shai Hope is the captain of the West Indies in T20Is and he will be hoping for the players to step up in the upcoming five matches.

As for Australia, their captain is Mitchell Marsh in the shortest form of the game. Only Cameron Green and Josh Inglis from the Test team are part of the T20I squad. The rest of the players will have to acclimatise to conditions soon as the West Indies are a force to reckon with in the T20 format.

As far as the series is concerned, the first two matches will be played at the Sabina Park, Kingston in Jamaica. The last three matches are scheduled to take place at Warner Park, Basseterre in St Kitts. Australia’s tour of the West Indies will conclude on July 29.
