127 and 140 are the two scores Australia posted in the first two T20Is respectively, never going to be enough against a strong West Indies unit. Barring Mitchell Marsh, who has stood tall for Australia, none of the batsmen has lived up to the expectations. The likes of Aaron Finch, Matthew Wade, Josh Philippe, Moises Henriques bring in tons of experience in this format of the game and Australia needed them to fire. However, it has not been the case to be. Australia’s strength, their bowlers, were also taken apart in the second T20I.

The hosts, on the other hand, will be pleased with their performance in the previous game. They posted a strong 196 on the board before bundling out Australia for 140. Great, but with West Indies, you are never sure how they will fare in the next game. The performance, no doubt was brilliant but can they replicate that? It’s a question that will be answered tomorrow. Also, West Indies will be concerned about the form of their top order. With Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, they have plenty of options but none of them has given satisfactory performances. West Indies will need the likes of Gayle and Fletcher to come good.

The form of Andre Russell, however, will be pleasing for the hosts. Russell has delivered brilliant all-round performances in the first two games. Same has been the case with Dwayne Bravo. If both can retain their form, West Indies will go a long way.

Pitch Report

The surface should be flat, good for batting. Barring the first two-three overs, there should not be much on offer for the bowlers, who will have to rely on accuracy and right lengths.
