Notably, Bumrah was rested and released from the squad ahead of the fifth Test match in order to manage his workload. Nevertheless, the Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, went on to win the fifth Test by a six-run narrow margin to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy by 2-2.

It was Mohammed Siraj, who rose to the occasion in Bumrah’s absence, as the Hyderabad-born pacer scalped a nine-wicket match haul to steer India to a thrilling Test match victory with the player of the match performance.

"We take back great memories from a highly competitive and enthralling test series! Looking forward to what's next," Bumrah wrote in an Instagram post.

On the other hand, the Indian all-rounder, Washington Sundar, also asserted that it was a blessing to play Test cricket for Team India. Also, KL Rahul joined hands in writing a heart-warming Instagram post.

"Test cricket really is life. Unpredictable, demanding, but so full of meaning. You learn something new every day, about the game, about yourself. Patience, discipline, and AWARENESS… it brings it all out,” Sundar wrote.

"Somehow, in all the grind, you start figuring out who you really are. What a blessing to play it," he added.
