WATCH: Zaka Ashraf’s controversial remarks on Babar Azam after leaked audio goes viral

Pakistan Cricket Team has found itself in a new controversy. Just months after the entire captaincy saga took place Zaka Ashraf has found himself in a spot of bother. A leaked audio is doing the rounds of social media as Zaka Ashraf can be heard speaking about Babar Azam.

The Pakistan team is currently in Australia taking part in a three-match Test series. Shan Masood and his side lost the first game in Perth by a massive 360-run margin. Australia bowled out the visitors for a mere 89 runs while defending 450 runs to win. 

Melbourne Cricket Ground is set to host the second test match which begins on the 26th of December. Ahead of the second game, the team is playing a two-day practice match to get themselves ready for the challenge ahead.

Cricket fans in Pakistan were shocked after Zaka Ashraf’s leaked audio chat went viral. The PCB chief was heard speaking about the state of the game of cricket and finds itself in the nation. During the chat, Zaka Ashraf also shed light on his interactions with Babar Azam.

The conversation begins with a woman who can be heard saying how Babar Azam is partial towards his friends. Zaka Ashraf replies “Pakistan Cricket is deteriorating because of this”. Someone mentioned that Hasan Ali too was in the team because of Babar Azam. There was a fourth voice which refuted the claims and spoke of Naseem Shah’s injury the reason Hasan Ali was back.

This is where the bombshell revelation came to be heard “He has controlled 8 players in the national team. He has signed a contract with the players. He is such a smart guy that he has built relationships with the players families that he visits their houses. And the players don’t move without him”

Then Zaka Ashraf further said “I told Babar Azam that you should keep the test captaincy, I am thinking of removing you from the white ball format. He replied saying that I would discuss it at home and let you know later. Babar Azam called Talha Osmani and Talha in return said to quit captaincy from all formats”

That’s when a woman can be heard asking why Mohammad Rizwan wasn’t made the next skipper. To which Zaka Ashraf said that even Rizwan was a friend of Babar Azam and Talha Osmani. That’s the reason why Shaheen Shah Afridi was made the T20I skipper as revealed during the chat.

One final twist occurred during the final part of the chat. The woman who asked about Rizwan was also seen asking about the apparent interference of Shahid Afridi. The former Pakistan skipper is the father-in-law of current Pakistan T20I skipper Shaheen Afridi. To which Zaka Ashraf said “Dekho beta itna toh chalta hai na”
