It all happened just before lunch on the second day of the Mirpur Test when Pant and Kohli got confused while running a single.  The misunderstanding between the duo almost cost a big wicket of Virat Kohli for India.

Subsequently, the 34-year-old happened to stare furiously at Pant following this very close survival from a run-out.

Here’s a moment when Virat Kohli stared at Pant:

Although, this survival didn’t work a lot for the Indian team as Virat Kohli fell prey to Taskin Ahmed during the second over of the match. He could score only 24 runs with three boundaries to his name.

At the time of filling this copy, the Indian team has scored 184 runs for the loss of four wickets in 53.1 overs. The pair of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are sojourning there in the middle to keep the Indian hopes alive in the match. The former is batting on the score of 67 runs having Iyer on 35 runs at the other end.

Till now, the top-order of the Indian batting lineup has failed badly with below-30 individual scores from all top-four batters.

Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 24 runs each alongside 10 and 20 runs from KL Rahul and Shubman Gill respectively.

Earlier on day 1, the Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium of Mirpur. The experienced Indian bowling pair of pacer Umesh Yadav and veteran Ravichandran Ashwin played a crucial role in bundling up the hosts only on the score of 227 runs in the first innings.

Both the senior lads scalped four wickets each in the first innings for India.
