On 30 January 2023, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders took on Dubai Capitals in the ongoing International League T20. It was the 22nd match of the tournament that took place in Abu Dhabi. Both teams have struggled so far in the tournament. Hence, they were looking to improve their position by winning this clash.


However, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders failed to win a game once again as Dubai Capitals defeated them by seven wickets. Adam Zampa won the player of the match award for taking three wickets for 16 runs in four overs. Now, a video has gone viral where Rovman Powell was seen with a terrific save on the boundary rope.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 11th over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders’ innings. Charith Asalanka was batting while Sikandar Raza was bowling for Dubai Capitals. In the sixth delivery of the over, Asalanka tried to smack the ball out of the park over the midwicket boundary. Rovman Powell was there and he jumped in the air and pulled away the ball from a six.      

Thus, the Dubai Capitals skipper managed to save five runs for his team. Speaking of the match, Rovman Powell won the toss and opted to field first. While batting first, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders scored 149 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Joe Clarke scored 52 runs off 27 balls, including eight fours and two sixes. For Dubai Capitals, Adam Zampa took three wickets for 16 runs in four overs. Akif Raja and Hazrat Luqman took two wickets each while Sikandar Raza took one wicket.

In reply, Dubai Capitals chased down the target in just 17.4 overs. George Munsey won 57 runs off 43 balls, including six fours and one six. Powell scored 21* runs off 14 balls, including two sixes. For Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Lahiru Kumara, Andre Rusell, and Akeal Hossein took one wicket each in the match.
