Team India is locking horns with Afghanistan in a dead rubber in their third and last match of the super-4 round in the Asia Cup 2022. Afghan skipper Mohammed Nabi won the toss and asked the Indians to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Batting first, India has got a very brilliant and strong start from the opening pair of stand-in skipper KL Rahul and former skipper Virat Kohli. They both stitched a massive partnership of 119 runs in the 12.4 overs for the first wicket.

Other than this, number three batter Suryakumar Yadav has made it to the headlines of social media despite his very short outing of two balls with a six to his name. Actually, Yadav happened to smash a six that went straight into the fridge placed in the dugout.

The video of this six from Suryakumar Yadav has gone viral on social media. Although, he got bowled on the next ball of Afghan pacer Fareed Ahmed who has scalped both wickets so far in the Indian innings.

Speaking of the match so far, the Indians have scored 162 runs for the loss of two wickets in 17.1 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli is there in middle on 77 runs off 46 balls with eight boundaries and three sixes on his credit along with Rishabh Pant playing on 15 off 14 balls with two boundaries.

Apart from Virat Kohli, stand-in skipper and senior batter KL Rahul also scored 62 runs off 41 balls with six boundaries and two sixes.

Notably, the men in blue are playing in this match without regular skipper Rohit Sharma in the playing XI. He decided to take a rest in this match due to the tough conditions in the Arab region.

India has already been eliminated from the 15th edition of the Asia Cup after losing two consecutive matches in the super-4 round against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
