Former India skipper, Virat Kohli isn't someone who would shy away from having an altercation. Over the years, he has been involved in many banters with oppositions if they mess up with his teammates. There have been numerous instances where Kohli stood for his player and meant no-nonsense. This time around, the right-hander was seen having an ugly chat with Jonny Bairstow.
This started in the 32nd over of England's innings when Bairstow missed an inswing delivery from Mohammed Shami. To the bad luck for Shami or good luck for Jonny, the ball bounced over the stumps. The Englishman has a certain weakness against the incoming deliveries. On the next ball after the incident, the 2019 World Cup winner played a shot in thin air.
Watching this, the 33-year-old couldn't help himself and started laughing. The laugh suggested how the former England Lions player got rattled so easily. In reply, the Yorkshire player enquired about it which Virat didn't like. The 102-Test veteran was heard saying, 'What authority do you have? Don't tell me what to do. Just stand and fucking bat."

This ignited a fire in the 32-year-old who went on to score a few boundaries. He went on to score his fifty in just 81 balls in conditions which have been helpful for pacers. After completing the fifty, he is still batting while skipper Ben Stokes, who was batting at the time of the incident got out. Notably, Stokes was dropped twice by Shardul Thakur and India skipper Jasprit Bumrah.
The left-hander all-rounder couldn't make the most of it and got out to Thakur. At the time of writing, England has scored 200 runs, trailing by 216 runs. The Indian bowlers have been all over the team which made a statement by playing bold cricket against New Zealand last month. A lot depends on Bairstow and Sam Billings, who are currently at the crease from the English point of view. On the other hand, the visitors would look to wrap up the innings at the earliest.
