Former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli has now become the leading run-scorer in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 with his recent half-century knock of 64 runs off 44 balls against Bangladesh in India’s fourth match of the tournament. But unfortunately, one of his gestures on the field left the Bangla skipper Shakib Al Hasan disappointed.

It all happened on the last ball of the 16th over of the Indian innings. Virat Kohli went after a shot-length delivery of pacer Hasan Mahmud. But he ended up missing it and he took no time in asking the umpire to declare the possible no ball. This gesture from the former Indian skipper didn’t go down well with Shakib Al Hasan.

Subsequently, the latter had a word with Virat Kohli followed by a share of laughs off and took their individual spots again.

Talking about the thrilling encounter between India and Bangladesh, Indian opener KL Rahul who was out-of-form in the first three matches, scored 50 runs off 32 balls with three boundaries and four sixes to his name. Other than Rahul, Virat Kohli smashed a knock of 64 runs off 44 balls with eight boundaries and a maximum on his credit. Following these knocks, the short cameo of 30 runs off 16 balls with four boundaries from world number T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav helped India to post a decent total of 184 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target, Bangladeshi opener Litton Das started off things in a swashbuckling style with a brilliant half-century knock. He helped the Bangladeshi side to score 66 runs in just seven overs before the rain played a spoilsport in the game.

Later on, the match was reduced to 151 runs in 16 overs for Bangladesh. Eventually, Rohit’s men managed to cross the line by winning restricting Bangladesh 5 runs before the target.
