Shaheen Shah Afridi has been Pakistan's go-to bowler of late and the youngster has justified his place in the squad with some stellar spells right throughout his career until now since his debut. He was ruled out of the event in the UAE due to an injury that he sustained during the Sri Lanka Test series but has travelled with the team to Dubai.
The Indian team greeted the arch-rivals and shared some valuable moments ahead of the most anticipated clash on August 28 to be held at Dubai International Stadium. Meanwhile, the Cricket Board of Pakistan uploaded the video of Indian players greeting their Pakistani counterparts and it was well received by fans.
The Indian legend Virat Kohli did not shy away from greeting his rival Babar Azam and the video was also shared by the Indian Cricket Board on their social media account. There have been many such heart-warming incidents already and the Indian wicketkeeper caught the eye with hilarious comments once again.
Rishabh Pant enquired Shaheen Afridi about his injury and wished him well while the latter praised the batter and said that he wants to become a batter. The Pakistani pacer added that he wanted to hit one-hand sixes and acknowledged Pant's skill for the same. The Delhi batter then replied cheekily saying that the fast bowlers cannot escape without putting in the effort.
"Yaar main soch raha hu aapki tarah bas batting shuru kar du, ek haath se chhakke lagaau (I'm thinking of becoming a batter like you, start hitting sixes with a single hand)," Afridi told Rishabh Pant. And the Indian wicketkeeper quickly replied, "Fast bowler ho toh effort lagaana padega sir! Compulsory hai (If you're a fast bowler, you have to put in effort. It's compulsory)."

KL Rahul was also seen enquiring the Pakistani pace spearhead about his injury in the video. VVS Laxman will once again try his hand as the head coach of the Indian team in Rahul Dravid's absence. For the unversed, Rahul Dravid has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss out on the Asia Cup 2022.
