The ODI World Cup 2023 will be hosted by India between October 5 and November 19. Interestingly, the last time India co-hosted the World Cup along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh back in 2011, they ended up winning the tournament. India became the first team to win the World Cup on home soil and the trend was continued by Australia in 2015 and England in 2019. As such, India will have a chance at continuing the trend in 2023.
Recently, the Apex Cricket Council launched the promo for the Cricket World Cup 2023. To fans’ surprise, it features the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. The video features a monologue of Shah Rukh Khan expertly combined with some iconic snippets from the history of the World Cup including the likes of Clive Lloyd and Kapil Dev lifting the Prudential World Cup in the earlier editions.
The promotional campaign for the ODI World Cup 2023 is titled ‘It takes one day’
