On 15 July 2023, San Francisco Unicorns locked horns with MI New York in the second game of the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) in Grand Prairie. However, MI New York failed to begin their campaign on a winning note as the Unicorns defeated them by 22 runs. Corey Anderson won the Player of the Match for his 91*-run knock.

But, a video from the game went viral where Unicorns’ Shadab Khan was seen hitting three sixes and one four in four consecutive deliveries from Sarabjit Ladda during the 15th over. The Pakistan all-rounder smacked the bowler all around the park and seeing that, fans went crazy all around the globe.

Speaking of the match, the Unicorns skipper, Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. While batting first, they posted 215 runs on the board for five wickets in 20 overs. Corey Anderson scored 91* runs off 52 balls, including four fours and seven sixes. Along with him, Shadab also smashed 61 runs off 30 balls, including four fours and five sixes. For New York, both Trent Boult and Kagiso Rabad took two wickets each. But, Ladda took one wicket and conceded 43 runs in three overs.
In reply, Dewald Brevis scored 32 runs off 25 balls while Nicholas Pooran scored 40 runs off 28 balls. Skipper Kieron Pollard also scored 48 runs off 27 balls and Tim David remained not out on 53 runs off 28 balls. But, they only managed to score 193 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Shadab took one wicket with the ball. With this win, the Unicorns are now in the second spot with a net run rate of +1.100.
After the game, Shadab said: "If you bowl in their arc, they will hit you for boundaries. It's very important how you start a tournament; it's a short tournament, so we have to start well. Mumbai have got a very balanced team; we didn't play before and there wasn't any practice game but now we know each other's strengths. Haris Rauf is a world class bowler. I always enjoy his company and his attitude towards the game. He is outstanding and I always learn from him."
