As evident in the widely circulated video, Sarfaraz Ahmed, attired in his batting kit, was observed engaging in a verbal exchange with Saud Shakeel, who was patiently awaiting his turn in the nets. The conversation escalated into a heated argument, with both players expressing their opinions vehemently. While the exact cause of the altercation is unclear, it seemed to revolve around a disagreement regarding their turns in the practice nets.

"For how long will I continue to be of use to you?" Shakeel asked Sarfaraz, as quoted by Cricket Pakistan. You won't be of any use to me. To begin with, I never instructed you to do anything. I never requested you to make a swap. I swapped with the person I intended to," the batter said.

The former Pakistan skipper made a light-hearted appeal to the umpire, prompting Shakeel to sprint to the crease without even putting on his gloves. Upon reaching the crease, the umpire checked his watch, and to Shakeel's relief and the amusement of their teammates, declared him not out. This led to jubilant scenes among the Pakistani players, who cheered and clapped for Shakeel.

As Pakistan prepares for their 4-day tour game against the Australian Prime Minister XI starting on December 6, the team has been training at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Captain Shan Masood, addressing the press on Tuesday, emphasized the pivotal roles of senior batters Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed as they brace for the challenge of facing the World Test Champions.
