Shoaib Akhtar is arguably the best fast bowler to have stepped on the cricket field. Apart from his toe-crushing yorkers, Akhtar was also known to bowl deadly beamers to the batters and has managed to floor some best in the business including the likes of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly and the legendary Proteas opener Gary Kirsten.

Shoaib Akhtar bid adieu to the game after the conclusion of the 2011 50-over World Cup. Recently, an emerging bowler has managed to take everyone by surprise recreating the Rawalpindi Express' bowling action.

During an Oman D20 game between Azaiba XI and Darsait Titans, youngster Imran Muhammad recreated Shoaib Akhtar's bowling action which took everyone by surprise. The viral video was shared by a cricket fan on social media.

After Imran had delivered the ball in typical Shoaib Akhtar fashion ,the batter played a loose cut shot and the ball was collected by the point fielder. “I am really cued on to Imran’s action right now. Look at that run-up. Even the hair that’s bouncing on both sides, it’s Shoaib Akhtar-like. As of now, it’s 10 on 10 for Imran in terms of the impersonation", said a commentator on-air.

Talking about Shoaib Akhtar, the 'Rawalpindi Express' is all set to make his comeback in the upcoming Legends League Cricket where he  will be representing the Asian Lions. Some of the iconic as well as the legendary cricketers of the continent including the likes of his former team-mate Shahid Afridi, Sri Lankan megastars Sanath Jayasuriya and Muttiah Muralitharan will also play alongside Akhtar. The tournament has two more teams - Indian Maharajas, that will have some of the biggest players from India, and Rest of the World, that comprises former players from around the globe. The tournament gets underway on January 20 in Oman.
