Ravichandran Ashwin produces magical delivery to get rid of Kraigg Brathwaite (Source: Twitter)
Rain played spoilsport on Day 3 of Test 2 between West Indies and India at Trinidad as only 67 overs were bowled. West Indies managed to cut India’s lead to 209 runs as they closed out the day at 229/5 with India picking up four wickets in the entire day. However, one wicket among them stood out, that of the West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite. Brathwaite seemed set for a big score however he was cleaned up by India’s spin ace Ravichandran Ashwin with a peach of a delivery at the score of 75 off 235, including 5 fours and one six.
It was the fourth ball of the 73rd over and Ashwin managed to find some swing in the air. The ball dropped close to the West Indies skipper and turned sharply to the right. Brathwaite could not judge the ball’s trajectory as it managed to find the huge gap between the bat and the pad and went on to hit his furnitures. The ball was dubbed by many as ‘every off-spinner’s dream delivery!’
Here’s the viral video:

West Indies trail India by 209 runs at stumps, Day 3
Talking of the game, the hosts are still 209 runs behind with two days’ play to go. On the other hand, India need to wrap the West Indian innings as soon as possible so they could return to bat and pose a total big enough to allow them time to bowl them out another time. Earlier, Virat Kohli’s knock of 121 on his 500th international game helped India reach 438. The visitors were further helped by handy knocks from Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, all of whom recorded half-centuries.
Talking of India’s bowling so far in the game, Ravindra Jadeja is leading the charts with figures of 2/37 in 25 overs. While Jaydev Unadkat is on the hunt for his first breakthrough, Ravichandran Ashiwn, Mukesh Kumar and Mohammed Siraj have picked up one wicket each. Although by a slender margin, the visitors are ahead in the second Test at this stage.
