Delving into the details of the incident, Shaw was seen angrily rushing towards his former teammate Musheer Khan after completing his century against Mumbai. According to the reports published on Cricbuzz, Shaw allegedly tried to raise his bat and held the collar of Musheer Khan after he was subjected to intense sledging on Day 1 of the three-day warm-up game.

Moving into the details of the game, Shaw went on to score a 140-ball century against Mumbai, and he was also part of a huge 305-run opening stand with Arshin Kulkarni, who scored 186 runs off 140 balls.

In the 74th over of the innings, Shaw was caught by Irfan Umair off Musheer Khan’s bowling at the square leg. Shaw, who scored 181 runs off 220 balls with 21 fours and three sixes, was sent off by Musheer Khan, who said, “Thank you.”

However, that celebration didn’t go down well with Shaw as he went on to get involved in a war of words with the Mumbai spinner before the umpire had to intervene and calm things down. Moreover, Siddesh Lad was also seen trying to settle things down.

"It's a practice match. They are all former teammates. Such things happen. It's all ok now and there is no issue," Ankit Bhawne, the captain of the Maharashtra side, said.

Interestingly, there has been no official statement from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) or the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) regarding this controversial incident yet.
