Watch: Old video of MS Dhoni singing ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ during IPL goes viral

On 7 July 2023, MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday. Videos have gone viral where he was seen celebrating the occasion by cutting a cake with his four pet dogs. His fans from all around the globe also celebrated the special day. However, he was last seen in action when he played for CSK in the recently concluded IPL.

He guided the team to victory in the final and fans were wondering if he would going to announce his retirement. But, he said that he is most likely to continue one more year. Now, a video has gone viral where Dhoni was seen singing a famous song named ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’. He was seen in the CSK training kit and it seemed that the video was taken during an IPL season.

Recently, the former Team India player, Wasim Jaffer shared an untold fact about the former Team India skipper. He said: “During the drinks break, MS Dhoni used to sip Pepsi. It is not permitted. In terms of fitness, it contains a lot of sugar, and athletes are normally recommended to avoid it. Dhoni, on the other hand, had no qualms about downing a can of Pepsi or Coke on a daily basis. That’s exactly the type of person he was. Even when playing at the international level, under extreme pressure, he never veered from his routine. That is what I admire most about him.”

After the IPL 2023 final, Dhoni said: “If you circumstantially see, it's the best time to announce the retirement. The easy thing for me to say is thank you and retire. But the hard thing to do is to work hard for nine months and try to play one more IPL season. The body has to hold up. But the amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to play one more season.”
