Pooran is known for his specific role of keeping and batting. However, watching a keeper-batter showcase his skills in bowling is rare, to say the least. A similar thing has happened in the case of the Caribbean cricketer when he bowled against Pakistan in the ongoing third ODI. Currently, West Indies are on a tour of Pakistan.

Hyderabad franchise lauded Pooran's bowling over social media

Hyderabad franchise of the Indian T20 League has recently posted a video on their Twitter handle. It could been seen in the video that Pooran has dismissed the Pakistani top-order batter, Fakhar Zaman. Pooran has picked up four wickets so far in the ongoing third ODI between Pakistan and West Indies at Multan.

The video of Fakhar Zaman’s dismissal at Hyderabad’s Twitter handle as “Here’s a surprise, #OrangeArmy! @NickyP has picked up three wickets! Here’s the first of them”

Speaking of the game played so far, the Pakistan skipper elected to bat first after winning the toss. The opening pair of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-Ul-Haq provided a steady start of 85 runs to Pakistan for the first wicket. But later on, the middle-order of the hosts completely collapsed while facing Nicholas Pooran.

Imam is the only batter of the line-up who played a decent knock of 65 runs. At the time of writing this news, Pakistan has posted 155 runs in 33 overs for the loss of five wickets.

To note, Pooran was bought by the orange army in the mega auction of the Indian T20 League 2022 for an amount of INR 10.75 crores. The franchise had to go through a bidding war with the franchises of Kolkata and Chennai to claim the talented lad.
