Watch: MS Dhoni in a hilarious avatar in new Indian T20 League advertisement

With less than 20 days to go for the cricket carnival in India, the hype around the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 league is well and truly justified. The 2022 edition of the biggest T20 league in the world is all set to start on March 26.

Recently, a new advertisement for the upcoming season has been launched. The Indian T20 league's official handle took to Twitter to share the advertisement. It features MS Dhoni in a brand new avatar once again.

In this ad, the Indian legend can be seen as an old man, who is watching a match with his family. A phone rings, to which Dhoni signals the female member of his family to pick it up. He then signals her to tell the person on the other side that he's dead.

Thus, the lady tells the person that "Papaji tho out ho gaye" and shows the out signal as well. After which she puts down the landline and asks about who's on strike in the game they are watching. To which, Dhoni says "Mahi", indicating that he is the one batting.

In the meanwhile, the finalists of the 2021 edition are set to battle it out in the season opener against Kolkata. It is to be noted that the upcoming edition shall see two new teams, i.e. Gujarat and Ahmedabad. Thus, this means that this season is going to be longer than the usual.
