Liam Livingstone is one of the rising stars in the shortest format of the game. He was part of Punjab in the recently concluded edition of the Indian T20 League. The English cricketer wreaked havoc with the bat while batting in the middle order. Turning up for Punjab, Livingstone scored 437 runs at a strike rate of 182.08. His performances, however, went in vain as Punjab, once again, failed to reach the playoffs.

Currently, Livingstone is playing for Lancashire and is making heads turn with his brutal hitting. In the recent encounter between Lancashire and Derbyshire on Wednesday, Livingstone played an outstanding knock of 75 runs in 40 balls. His partnership with Dane Vilas, and quick cameos in the back-end of the innings by Tim David and Steven Croft helped Lancashire post a massive total of 219.

Later, he also bowled his quota of four overs and accounted for the wicket of Harry Came. Lancashire, eventually, won the game by 17 runs. Liam Livingstone’s knock also had a six, which received the maximum attraction. Once again, the 28-year-old hit the ball far too long. Facing left-arm spinner, Mark Watt, the 28-year old smashed the ball into the construction area.

“How on earth do you find the ball in the middle of all that?”, said one of the commentators on air. One of the construction workers got the ball back shortly after.

The Vitality Blast’s Twitter handle also posted the video of the six with a caption, that read: “Livingstone is starting to tee off.”

Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time when Liam Livingstone has hit such a big six. Earlier, he also hit a 117-meter long six off Mohammed Shami in the match between Gujarat and Punjab. Livingstone’s Lancashire is currently positioned at number 1 on the points table with 3 wins in 4 matches in the North Group.
