This prompted Rahul Dravid and even Jay Shah to send timely reminders. Despite the diktats, Ishan Kishan did not play any domestic cricket for Jharkhand.

After the Indian Cricket Board’s stern warning Shreyas Iyer just like Ishan Kishan is set to be back in action. The 29-year-old was part of the first two Tests vs England in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

When the team was announced for the final three games of the series, Iyer’s name wasn’t in the squad list. News came out that the Indian star had complained of fitness issues, but few sources denied it. According to insider reports, it was the lack of runs with the bat that had seen Iyer get dropped.

Just on the eve of the 3rd Test, Jay Shah had sounded a warning to the players missing the domestic season. Despite several warnings, Ishan Kishan missed the last few games for Jharkhand.

Mumbai are set to take on Tamil Nadu in the semi-finals of India’s domestic season. Ajinkya Rahane and his team made it to the final four on the virtue of a first-innings lead against Baroda. Coming back to the DY Patil T20 Cup, Hardik Pandya is also back. The 30-year-old was injured while bowling during the 2023 ODI World Cup match against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya is set to lead Mumbai Indians during the upcoming IPL season.
