On 19 July 2023, India A took on Pakistan A in the 12th match of the ongoing ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup in Colombo. Both teams came to this clash after confirming their berth in the semi-finals by winning their respective first two matches in the group. Speaking of the match, Pakistan A skipper, Mohammad Haris won the toss and opted to bat first.

While batting first, they got bundled out for 205 runs in 48 overs. But, during their innings, India’s Harshit Rana grabbed a stunner and the video went viral instantly. It also left fans stunned as they shared their views on social media. Speaking of the catch, it took place on the fourth delivery of the 46th over.

Pakistan A set a 206-run target for India A

Rajvardhan Hagargekar bowled a length ball which Qasim Akram tried to hit. But, he managed only a top edge and Rana, at the short third region, jumped to perfection and completed the catch with one hand, fully stretched. Speaking of the match, India’s bowlers were on a roll since the start of the match. Pakistan lost their first two wickets for just nine runs on the board. Then, they were in all sorts of trouble after losing their sixth wicket for 95 runs in 26.5 overs. After that, some small partnerships occurred and they managed to reach the 205-run mark. 

Qasim Akram was the highest run-scorer with 48 runs off 63 balls, including five fours. For India, Hangargekar was the star with the ball as he managed a fifer in this high-voltage clash. He took five wickets for 42 runs in eight overs. Along with him, Manav Suthar grabbed three wickets for 36 runs in 10 overs. While both Riyan Parag and Nishant Sindhu took one wicket each. In reply, for India A, Sai Sudharsan and Abhishek Sharma came out to open to chase down 206 runs. At the time of this writing, India A have scored 41 runs in seven overs without losing any wickets.
