The decider match of the three-match series between India and Australia turned out to be a nail-biting thriller. The men in blue eventually won the match and the series with six wickets to spare. India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya hit the winning boundary for India on the fifth delivery of the final over.

Pandya was on strike and was expected to execute the finisher's role flawlessly after Virat Kohli was sent back on the second ball of the last over after smashing the first delivery for a six. Sams tricked him, though, with a wide delivery off the following ball, which the latter missed. When the equation read four runs from the final two balls, Hardik's nerves of steel were on display.

Right before he hit the ball for a four, his nod to Dinesh Karthik, which showed his sheer confidence, was caught on the camera. The video of the same has gone viral all over the internet. Fans were amazed to see how calm the all-rounder remained and backed his abilities to take the team over the line.

While Hardik Pandya did an excellent job as the game's finisher, India's victory was set up by Kohli (63) and Suryakumar Yadav (69), who put on an outstanding 104-run third wicket stand after the hosts lost both of their openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, early.

India won the series with a scoreline of 2-1, which will give them a big boost going into the series against South Africa and the T20 World Cup.

The star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will directly be seen in the T20 World Cup next. He is not a part of the Indian team for the series against South Africa. The 28-year-old will be at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for conditional training ahead of the World Cup.

The series against South Africa will begin on the 28th of September.
