Watch: Crowd bombilate Surat stadium with chants of 'Dhoni..Dhoni' as 'Thala' arrives for practice

The 15th season of the Indian T20 League will see all its fixtures being played in Mumbai and Pune. The conditions in Surat are very similar to the venues for the upcoming Indian T20 League season. So, the Chennai team management decided to prepare themselves in Surat.

Recently, a fan shared a video of Chennai’s arrival at the Surat stadium. Skipper Dhoni was seen entering the stadium for practice. Even the practice session of the team saw attendance by a huge crowd. The crowd was seen chanting “Dhoni…...Dhoni”, as they caught a glimpse of “Thala”.

The video went viral soon, proving the craze around the former Indian Skipper. MS Dhoni’s fans are present in all parts of the country. He draws attention and crowd wherever he goes. Notably, in one of the earlier seasons, a video went viral where a supporter of the Mumbai team was seen changing his jersey to Chennai jersey, as MS walked out to bat. These instances show how popular MSD is and how crazy the fans are to witness the man in action.

Chennai had a dream 2021 season. They finished the 14th edition of the Indian T20 League as champions. The clash of last year’s final between Kolkata and Chennai will be the opening encounter for the 15th edition on the 26th of March, 2022.
