Virat Kohli is one of the most popular athletes in the world, thanks to his heroics on the field for over a decade. With over 265 million followers on Instagram, Kohli is just behind football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the most followed athletes on the microblogging platform.

Notably, he has more fan following than legendary basketball player Lebron James and footballers Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and David Beckham among others. Recently, in a social media poll by Pubity, the former India captain emerged as the winner of the Male Athlete of the Year award beating Argentina icon Messi by a huge margin.
If this isn't proof enough of Kohli's popularity, a recent video clip doing the rounds on social media certainly proves it. American YouTuber IShowSpeed recently caught up with football great Ronaldo Nazario during his Brazilian tour. Speed, who continues to prove that he is the biggest fan of Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Kohli, got into a conversation with the former Brazilian footballer about the Indian cricket stalwart.
The content creator, known for his online streaming and witty conversations, surprised Ronaldo with a question about Kohli. "Who?", Ronaldo replied to a question from Speed: "Do you know Virat Kohli? The 18-year-old then decided to show a photo of Kohli and said he is better than Babar Azam (former Pakistan captain).
Surprisingly, Ronaldo instantly recognised Kohli and Speed responded enthusiastically, “Yeah, he is the GOAT.” He then showed Kohli's picture to the camera and was seen in full delight after the two-time FIFA World Cup winner recognised his favourite cricketer.

Speed expressed his immense admiration for Kohli during his visit to India for 2023 ODI World Cup
Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka IShowSpeed, created a social media storm during his visit to India at the time of the 2023 ODI World Cup. He came to support 'Vyrat Kohli' and Team India and was even present at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the blockbuster clash against Pakistan.
After Kohli hit a boundary against their arch-rivals, Speed was seen celebrating in the stands with Ronaldo's famous 'Siiuuu' celebration. During his visit, the YouTuber was seen walking around various places wearing India's blue jersey with Kohli's name written on the back.
