Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is in the headlines since the conclusion of the second T20I against South Africa. Apart from breaking multiple records both as a captain and a batter, Rohit was also the talk of the town among the cricketing fraternity for some other reasons. Firstly, the fans saw his dedicated side when he kept giving instructions to the player despite his bleeding nose.

Apart from that, another video has gone viral over social media in which Rohit Sharma can be seen encountering an awkward moment. It happened when a ball went into the hands of Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. But what caught the attention of fans was not the drop by Rishabh Pant but the place where the ball hit Rohit Sharma’s body.

Speaking of the match, then the Indians after being asked to bat first, posted a mammoth total of 237 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Following the brilliant start of 96 runs from the opening pair of skipper Rohit Sharma and senior batter KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a quick and massive partnership of 102 runs for the third wicket.

KL Rahul played a foundational knock of 57 runs off just 28 balls alongside a 43-run knock from skipper Rohit himself. Later on, Surykaumar Yadav who is in red-hot form, smashed a blistering knock of 61 runs off just 22 balls alongside vital 49 runs from the former skipper Virat Kohli. Keshav Maharaj was the only proteas bowler who scalped two wickets.

While chasing the target, the senior duo of Quinton de Kock and David Miller played exceptionally well for the visitors. They both made a mammoth and unbeaten partnership of 174 runs for the third wicket. David Miller smashed a brilliant century off just 46 balls but these efforts went in vain as South Africa could score only 221 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Eventually, India won the match by 16 runs to take a winning lead of 2-0 in the series.
