The most anticipated clash of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 is just one day away as India and Pakistan prepare themselves for another mouth-watering encounter. However, the fate of the epic clash is in the hands of the ‘Rain Gods’ with a heavy downpour expected in Melbourne on Sunday. Pakistan captain Babar Azam was also asked a question regarding the weather in the press conference ahead of the match to which he gave a hilarious reply.

A journalist asked the Pakistan captain if the players are singing ‘Rain-rain go away’ with dark clouds looming over the high voltage clash on Sunday. After hearing the question Babar quipped, ‘Nahi hum bacche ko koi lorie nahi suna rahe (no, we are not signing a lullaby to a child)".

Babar further went on to say that the Pakistan team is ready to face any kind of challenge.

"See, the weather isn't in our hands but as a player and as a captain, I am hoping for the match to take place. Everyone is waiting for this match and it would be good if a full-length contest takes place. No matter how long the match is, we are ready to handle all kinds of situations and will hope to give 100%,” the 28-year-old said.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was also asked a similar question in the pre-match press conference, earlier, today. Rohit also stated that the team is preparing for all kinds of situations, be it a 20-over contest or a 5-over.

"We have to be prepared for whatever comes our way. These things are not in our hands. We will come thinking that it is a 40-over match and if not then we are ready for even a 20-over match," said Rohit.

Meanwhile, a full house is expected in the biggest match of the 20-20 World Cup on Sunday as reportedly over one lakh people will throng the stadium for the mega clash.

India and Pakistan recently met twice in the Asia Cup last month with both teams winning one match each. Pakistan managed to beat India for the first time ever in last year’s 20-20 World Cup. Hence, India will be eager to avenge their humiliating loss in the last edition on Sunday.
