Babar Azam became associated with an unpleasant record on Tuesday when he was run out for the sixth time in Tests. No other Pakistan batter has been run out as many times since his debut in 2016. His most recent run-out occurred during the third session of the second Test against New Zealand in Karachi on Day 2.

Imam-ul-Haq took two runs off Michael Bracewell before calling Babar for a third run and then stopping. As a result, both Pakistan batters ended up on the same side of the crease, with Bracewell removing the bails at the non-striker's end. Imam could be seen yelling after the run out as Pakistan lost their third wicket for 99 runs. At the time, Babar was batting on 24.

Here is Babar Azam's run-out

Earlier, Pakistan lost openers Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood after a shaky start to their innings on the second day of the second Test against New Zealand in Karachi, reaching 62-2 at tea. The Kiwi tail-enders had helped their team to a respectable 449 runs.

After the first Test, also in Karachi, ended in a draw, the two-match series is tied. Shafique was the first Pakistani wicket to fall, pulling pacer Matt Henry's short delivery straight into Ajaz Patel's hands for 19. Shan Masood's poor form continued, cutting spinner Patel to point fielder Devon Conway on 20.

Earlier, Henry and Patel had combined for an invaluable 104 runs for the 10th wicket to lift New Zealand from 345-9. Henry hit eight boundaries and two sixes in his career-best 68 not out, breaking his previous high of 62 against Australia in Christchurch in 2016.

Patel also improved on his previous Test-best of 20 against England last year, scoring 35 before being caught off spinner Abrar Ahmed. Naseem took the first wicket of the day, dismissing Ish Sodhi for 11 with a sharply cut ball.

Blundell, who was 30 at the time, hit 50 with a boundary and a single off Abrar Ahmed. Before being bowled by Ahmed, he hit six boundaries in his innings. The spinner then had Tim Southee stumped for ten runs before Henry and Patel extended the innings and helped New Zealand reach over 400 runs.
