Ramiz Raja, president of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is renowned for having a short temper. He frequently engages in abusive behaviour toward reporters and journalists over insignificant things. His enraged outburst was once more witnessed at the Rawalpindi Stadium during the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and England.
When the reporter questioned him about the flat wicket prepared at the venue for the historic match, Ramiz lashed out at him. "Is tarha ki pitches hongi to team kaisi jeetegi? Ye to hamare paas golden opportunity thi, Babar Azam ne khud keh rahe the. (If this is how the pitches are prepared, how will the team win? We had a golden opportunity, Babar Azam agreed to this)," asked the reporter.
The former Pakistani cricketer got angry with these allegations and responded saying, "Kamaal baar kar rahe hai yaar... Aap khel lein fir. (You are talking nonsense... Play the game for yourself then)."

In the meantime, the Pakistan Cricket Board has come under fire for laying down a completely flat wicket in Rawalpindi Stadium. On the wicket, there was zero assistance for bowlers. After opting to bat first, England was able to take full advantage of the situation. Ben Stokes' team scored 657 runs in the first inning, with four batters going for centuries.
Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Harry Brook, and Zak Crawley all scored centuries during the match. The English team also broke a number of records, including one for the highest score in a single Test match day (506 runs).
Following that, Pakistan also provided a commendable response, with centuries from Imam ul Haq and Abdullah Shafique. They ended up scoring 121 runs in 207 balls and 114 runs in 203 balls, respectively. While the Men in Green seem in control of their innings, they have not been scoring quick runs as England did.
The first Test match between the two nations in Pakistan in 17 years, in all likelihood, is headed towards a draw.
