The 15th edition of the Indian T20 League is currently underway and the umpiring decisions have come under the scanner on multiple occasions. The captains of the different franchises have lost their cool over umpire’s on-field decisions.

Earlier, Rishabh Pant was left frustrated in the dug-out when the umpire didn’t call a no-ball despite the ball going over waist height in the match between Delhi and Kolkata. Recently, Sanju Samson was seen frustrated over the umpire’s decision in the 47th match between Kolkata and Rajasthan.

The 19th over of the second innings saw a lot of drama as the umpire called multiple wides which left Sanju Samson fuming. The game was pretty tense at that time as either team could win it. On the 4th ball of the 19th over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a pretty wide delivery as Rinku Singh shuffled way across to uppercut but missed that delivery. The umpire called it a wide.

A fuming Samson decided to take a review, perhaps for a caught behind. However, as it turned out, the ball was miles away from the bat and it was still given as wide. The drama didn’t end there. On the final ball of the over, Prasidh Krishna runs far across to try and ramp the ball into the leg-side.

Prasidh Krishna followed him and bowled a wide delivery. The ball was given again as a wide, which left Samson unimpressed. Later, the Rajasthan skipper went to the umpire to understand why it was given as wide.

In the end, Rajasthan lost the match by 7 wickets. Rajasthan Royals batted first in that encounter and managed to score 152 runs in the first innings. Kolkata, in reply, chased down the score in 19.1 over. Rajasthan have now lost two games in a row.

Sanju Samson and Co. are currently sitting at number three on the points table with 6 wins in 10 matches. Rajasthan are slated to play the next game against Punjab on Saturday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
