Under the leadership of Mayank Agarwal, they have made a fantastic start to their campaign. In 3 matches, they have managed to win 2 games and are keen to continue their winning momentum.

There is no denying the fact that Punjab’s overseas players have played a big role in their success so far in the tournament. Liam Livingstone played a match-winning knock in the last game. B Rajapaksa has produced vital knocks as well. Odean Smith hasn’t taken the world by storm but provides great balance to the playing XI. Besides, Kagiso Rabada’s importance in the bowling unit is the unparalleled. All four played in the first three games.

However, Punjab have now dealt with a selection dilemma as Jonny Bairstow has also joined the squad. It will be really hard for the franchise to leave him out from the playing XI in the coming games. But, it’s also true that the current four overseas picks haven’t done anything wrong either.
